IN THE past few months, the North Vancouver Fraud Section
has encountered a number of customer impersonations and
cheque forgeries. In some cases, suspects were caught on bank
surveillance cameras but are yet to be identified. Anyone with
infermation about the identity of any of these individuals is
asked to call Cpl. Gene Slobod at 983-7414.

On June 14, a series of good
quality counterfeit [CBC
cheques were cashed at
seven banks in North
Vancouver.

The fake cheques added up
to $16,600.

This man is one of two male
suspects in the case.

The North Vancouver RCMP
Fraud Section number for this
case is 94-21746.

NEAR THE end of July, per-
sonal cheques that were part
of items stolen in a Goquitiam
burglary were allegedly
cashed at a number of banks
in North Vancouver.

Police are asking the pulslic’s
assistance in identifying this
suspect. ;

burger bandit jailed

A 36-YEAR-OLD man was
recently jailed six months for
stealing money belonging to
Burger King Restaurants in
North Vancouver District.

Daniel Joseph Bourgeois
pleaded guilty to the charge
stemming from a June 6, 1993,
incident.

The money relating to the
charge was more than $1,000.

states that Bourgeois is not to
