And just what is the Canadian identity? Well, among other things, it’s the culture and heritage of the Canadian population, which, there’s no denying, is aera aecanmamasia aon anemia arama emanesincieenenmmementateannimmmey greatly influenced by American mass media, But, instead of looking ‘at the similarities in our cultural identities — because we will always have similarities — take a look at the differences. One of the biggest differences is multicul- turalism, In Canada each cultural influence maintains its own identity, uniike the U.S. where it’s just one big meiting pot. Canadians are much freer to be diverse — to be who we are. And that’s the big difference between us and them, Hopefully we can keep it that way.
