Three Premier Burdette Wolves proved
that being new is not necessarily bad.

The Wolves, promoted from the

. Centennial League this year, trounced
Viking Pirates 8-1 behind a solid five
goal effort from Phil Wonnacott last
Sunday. |

Wonnacott put in a good effort from
his inside right position, scoring times on
breakaways.

Brad Chapman added two more goals
to the winners pot and Greg Lensink
scored one on a penalty shot.

Viking ‘Carl Newholm robbed Wolves’
goalie Ian Armstrong of a shuthout when
he:scored at the 27 minute mark.

Lynn Valley Falcons nipped the
McSween Highlanders 3-1 in Division
Five Premier soccer action last Sunday.

All four goals came within an eight
minute period midway through the
second half. Gary Payle. started the
scoring off for the Falcons at the 40
minute mark, while Billy-Jo Lauzon
added another one minute later. -

David Edward made it close for the
Highlanders when he put one in at the 43
minute mark, but five minutes later Dean
Kruger put the game out-of reach for the
winners with his goal.

In a Division One Premier match,
West Vancouver Spuraway Red shutout
the McSween Highlanders 1-0.
