victory in the Sports Racing
Seattle In-
ternational Raceway last
weekend.

Langford beat out 25 cars
to take first place in his race
and now has four firsts, two
second place finishes and
one third this season.

Langford, a 45 year old
mechanical engineer, has
been racing as a hobby since
1969 and says. he’s always

The Russell ‘C’, a British-
made Rawlson, is named

owns the car.

It is similar to a Lotus or a
Lola and is powered by a
modified 1600 cc engine. It
has 210 horsepower and can
put out 9500 revolutions per
minute, for speeds close to
160 miles per hour. It is
equipped with a five speed
gear box.

Langford gives most of the
credit for his success this
year to the car, not his
driving skills.

race at Westwood on
September 14, and at
Portland September 21.
