A 3-1 win over Lobbans gave the Rovers a 1-1 split in their two games to date. There are four groupings in the tournament with the top two teams advancing from each group to the final round of eight teams. To assure a trip to the final round, Rovers need a win Sunday when they take on the White Eagles at 2 p.m. at Ambleside. The West Van squad also want Big volleyball clinic a success On Sunday, March 23, over thirty athletes par- ticipated in the Capilano Colege sponsored North Shore High School Volleyball Development Clinic. The purpose of the clinic was to introduce the high school players to a more disciplined facet of skill development. Van The North Van Rec Centre minor hockey program wound up for the year over the weekend with a successful four day tournament. One of the highlights of the tourment was the ap- pearance of Dennis Kearns of the Vancouver Canucks. Kearns was on hand to present trophies to the winners and runners up of the Midget House League. In the midget final West Lynn Optical took the title with a 7-4 win over Disco Sport. Fownes Construction captured the Bantam title with an exciting last minute goal to down The Keg 5-4.
