Van’s style mavens
empty their closets in
support of
Collingwood School.

These women donate their
discarded designer wares to
help stock the West Van pri-
vate school’s annual New2You
sale, which this year will help
fund new computers for the
school.

Gueci, Louis Feraud,
Escada, Doice & Gabanna,
Versace and Valentino are the
labels to look for at this year’s
sale, Saturday, April 29, 10
4.m. to 3 p.m. at
Collingwood, 70 Morven Dr.,
in West Van’s Glenmore area.

Because parking at the
school is limited, visitors are
asked to leave their car at Park
Royal Shopping Centre or at
St. Davids Church at Taytor
Way and the Upper Levels
Highway. A free shuttle leaves
from both parking sites every
hour. Campus parking opens
at 9 a.m. and is $5 per vehicle.

Like many expats, Azi
North suffered severe style
withdrawal when she moved
here from the U.K. three years
ago.

A civil engineer by trade,
North missed England’s “high
street” shops like Next,
Warehouse, Oasis and Top
Shop, says her husband, Andy,

also an engineer. Finding styl-
ish togs for daughters Aisha,
+, and Hanisa, 11, was anoth-
er problem.

The couple's answer was to
bring a bit of the high street
home to Deep Cove. Last
Wednesday they celebrated the
opening of Togyz Clothing
Co. on Gallant Avenue.

contemporary clothing
for infants, children
