The topics covered in this pro- gram vary from ethnic exploration to scientific discovery with trips to Chinatown, the Planetarium, Science World, Lynn Canyon, and of course, the beaches. @ recCentre Lonsdale run their week day Camp Cowabunga from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Mon- day, June 29 to Friday, Sept. 4. It is promoted as including swimm- ing, sports, out-trips, arts, and crafts every week. Be sure to join in for the fun with trips to the zoo, the aquarium, Seafest and the Pacific National Exhibition. Camp Lonsdale is geared for the younger set, operating from 9 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 3 p.m. from Monday, July 6 to Friday, Sept. 4. Activities will include crafts, sports and games. Super Kids, for four- and five-year-olds, will carry on from preschool. There are two sessions (9 to 11:30 a.m.) each week from Monday, July 6 to Thursday, Aug. 27. Ballhockey Camp for eight- to 12-year-olds runs week days from July 13 to 17, and Aug. 4 to 7. The two-hour sessions will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Radical Rollers is rollerblading for six- to 12-year-olds and allows participants the opportuni- ty to learn to skate or improve their skills, and the program in- cludes roller hockey games. Three-hour sessions run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday between Monday, July 6 and Friday, Aug. 21. Roller hockey for eight- to 13-year-olds can be played week days from 9 to 11:30 a.m. or | to 3:30 p.m. starting Monday, June 29 and ending Friday, July 24. Drop-in roller hockey is avail- able for 13- to 16-year-olds from 4 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday from July 7 to August 25. Up to 30 participants can join in a pick-up game. Soccer camps for Tiny Tots and Pee Wees (five- to seven-year- olds), are being held in July and August, as well as Tiny Tot T-ball camp for the five- to seven- year-olds. For the older sports, there are also basketball (eight- to 14- year-olds) and bike (eight- to 12-year-olds) camps this summer. . @ recCentre Lyne Valley LV Day Camp, for eight- to 13-year-olds operates from Monday, June 29 to Friday, Aug. 21 week days from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This camp includes activities like swimming and skating as well as trips to Bowen Island, the Plane- tarium, and Chinatown.
