REGISTRATION HAS begun for Dramaworks’ winter-spring semester. This season's program of courses have been streamlined and are now all geared towards younger students, say directors Linda Nelsen and jennifer Riach. The First Stage, a new program for two to three-year-olds and their parents is designed to help children express their creative ideas through Grama. Youngsters will explore the world of make- believe using art, movement, music and puppetry. Says Riach: ‘You just give ey: them a few words or sentences and they take off into their own make-believe world.” . The next stage, Creative Drama for four to six-year-olds, involves teaching youngsters theatre games, improvisation to stimulate their imagination and dramatic exercises, Students will make a puppet theatre and create their own dramatic work. The course, say the directors, is designed to help young people build self-con- fidence. For more ad- vanced students, there are two performance courses being offered for returning 10 to 12-year-olds and returning teens.
