NEWS photo Tom Buriey Five North Shore bands playing sarbarella Psycadella’ event WEST VANCOUVER concert promoter Nardwuar the Human Serviette is presenting a six-band blowout Barbarella Psycadella at the Arts Club on Seymour Street. Nardwuar, also known as 19- year-old John Ruskin, will be put- ting on the Aug. 23 concert event for all ages featuring the sounds of North Shore bands Sleepy Boy Floyd, The Evaporators , The Wee Beasties, T.T.S.D. and The One Eyed Jacks. “It’s more a sampling of sounds of the North Shore,”" said Nard- Tennis IT‘S TENNIS time on the North Shore for youngsters aged 10 to 16. Offered through North Shore Continuing Education, a summer instructional program is being run by Tennis Unlimited. The final series of this summer's tennis camps begins Monday, Aug. 24, ” Instruction for all skill levels is available and costs $75 for 15 hours, broken into five sessions of three hours per day. Instructors are certified and trained for the camp program. The week-long day camps are available in the mornings at Argyle Secondary Crom 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or afternoons 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Carson Graham Sec- ondary. Im the event of poor weather the program moves in- doors. The camp also provides a mini- tournament, daily refreshments and t-shirts. Students must wear athletic shoes and bring their own tennis racquet.
