CHRISTMAS SING-A-LONGI

WHILE SHEPHERDS WATCHED

While shepherds watched their flocks by night.

All seated on the ground,
The Angel of the Lord came down,
And glory shone around.

‘‘Fear not,’’ said he (for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds);

““Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind.

“‘To you in David’s town this day

Is born of David’s line

A Saviour, who is Christ the Lord;
And this shall be the sign:

The heavenly Babe you there shall find
To human view displayed,

All meanly wrapped in swathing bands,
And in a manger laid.’’

Thus spake the Seraph: and forthwith
Appeared a shining throng

Of angels praising god who thus
Addressed their joyful song:

“All glory be to God on high,

And to the earth be peace:

JOY TO THE WORLD

Joy to the world! the Lord ts come;
Let earth receive her King;

Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns;

Let men their songs employ;

While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains,
Repeat the’ sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground.

He comes, to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.

He rules the earth with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove

The glories of His righteousness,

And wonders of His love.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

Where the tree-tops glisten,

And children listen to hear sleigh bells in the
snow
