N. 7 shore clubs send
_ skaters to Sectionals

-- provincial figure skating cham-
pionships, set for Friday, Nov. 12
through Sunday, Nov. 14 at the
Vancouver Agrodome, will feature
a number of North Shore skaters.

Skaters competing in the
weekend event (Sectionals) will
compete for qualification to the
Western Division. Championships
in Prince Albert, Dec. 1-5. From
there, skaters in senior, junior and
novice categories will go to the
Canadians in Edmonton in
January.

The largest contingent of North -

Shore skaters in the Sectionals this
weekend is from: the North Shore
Winter Club,

They include: Keyla Obs, Vivian
Hannos -and Tyna Bingert in
senior ladies’; Tammy Wagner
and Lisa Daly in junior ladies’;
Mark VanDerkerhove and Jeff
Zarin in junior men’s; novices
Christine Fuller, Kimberly McMill
and Tanya Srdenovic; pre-novice

Sabrina Giglio; and Chantelle
Ford and Jeremy Hansen in pre-
novice dance.

The Holtyburn Country Club is
sending four skarers to the pro-
vincials.

Jordan Millar and Nicole Kaf-
fka will be competing in novice
ladies’, while Carotine Piggott and
Kelly Ross will conipete in the
Pre-novice ladies’ event,

The Vancouver/Nerth Van-
couver Skating Club — composed
of skaters from both the
Agrodome and Karen Magnussen
Arena — is sending North Shore
compciitors Kendra Greenstade
and Casey Solecki.

The club also has four skaters
from the North Shore travelling to
Smithers, B.C. in March to com-
pete in the B.C. Winter Games.
They are Brandi-Lynn Halls,
Roslyn Mustard, Christiana Phin-
hey and Janet Edget.
