Artist Georgina Youngs opened her first gallery over a year ago on Bellevue Avenue in West Van- couver. She has now moved her business to a larger location in the Kapilano 100 building. Youngs says the added space will allow her to show not only her own work but also the work of other artists. She adds that all of the artists who display their work at her gallery are commis- sion artists, with the majority coming from the North Shore. She has given them all mini- showroom space in her gallery to improve the accessibility of the clients. Youngs says part of the gallery’s mandate is that the ar- tists’ work be affordable. Commissions are all arranged by the gallery, from setting up the first appointment to handling all the finances. TIME MANAGEMENT A NEW time management com- pany has opened its doors in North Vancouver. Pulling I Together: Time Managen.2nt Services, has been started by Marylyne Oakley. She says the idea of her company is to help people, especially women, learn how to be organized at home. . Oakley adds that so many peo- ple are organized at work because they have someone telling them what to do and when to do it. But at home, these same people never seem to have enough time to do the tasks that have to be done as well as spend time with the people who are important in their lives. “I feel there is a real need for time management counselling, especially "in the home, for women. After all, it is women who run most households and are responsible for the home and the family to function smoothly,"’ says Oakley.
