Alert column in North Shore
News. Mr. J.H. Cooley has written
to state that he believes the
disclosure of crimes is not
beneficial to your readers. See,
hear and speak no evil?

If we lived in an ideal society,
we would have no need to safe-
guard our families and property
against criminals. Unfortunately
this is not the case, thus we have 3
tight and a need to know of the
dangers that exist.

Before the column began, I was
the victim of a break and enter. In
ignorance I had not taken suffi-
cient precautions. The first step in
protecting one’s property is to be
aware of the dangers.
