Janet Toebosch fought off an injury to win the silver medal in the 12 and over pre-juvenile ladies in a fieia of i9. Fiona Meggilt skated a stunning performance to sweep all firsts in the pre-novice ladies division. A perfect performance carned Pauline Mattis not only a sweep of firsts and the gold medal in the novice ladies but also the senior ladies artistic award. In the same event, Jessica Tor- vick, in her first competitise outing WV RCMP win B.C. champs THE NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP fastball team won the 1986 All Poijce Fastball Tournament held Sept. 5 to 7 in Kelowna, Playing against nine other teams from B.C., Alberta and Saskat- chewan, the North © Vancouver squad went through the entire tournament undefeated with four straight wins. In the tournament’s final game, the locals slammed Vancouver City police 9-2. North Vancouver RCMP Cpl. Glen Moffat was voted best pitcher and best batter in the tournament. The local team last won the tournament in 1984. since a bout with mononucleosis, won the bronze in the heavily con- tested event.
