it,” says Burgers. ‘‘I try to
marry the materials used in
each time period. That’s the
greatest charm of doing this.
Every time period can reflect
its own abitity.’”’

A NORTH Vancouver man has been charged with the at-
tempted murder of a policeman foilowing a shooting in-
cident at a Capilano Highlands home late Thursday. :

John Gordon Arnold, 36, was formally charged in
North Vancouver provincial court Friday. He has been
remanded in custedy pending a further court appearance.

The charge was laid after a man opened fire on a police
car with shotgun Thursday night as police approached a
Virginia Crescent home to investigate a complaint about a
dosmetic dispule.-
