Christie to the World Juniors

The alpine discipline of
the Canadian Ski
Association has finalized the
selection of six men and six
women to represent Canada
at the Junior World Alpine
Championships in Sestnere,
Italy from January 31 to
February 6, 1983, which
includes one member from
North Vancouver.

The team includes Jen-
nifer Huyke, Toronto, Ont..,
Josee Lacasse, Brassard,
Que., Dannielle Labne, Ste.
Foy, Quebec, Wendy
Lumby, Calgary, Alta.,
Bergie Lund, Surrey, B.C.,
and. Karen Percy, Banff,
Alta.

The men’s team will in-
clude three’ skiers’ from

Quebec: Alain Villiard. Ste-

Wade Christie, North
Vancouver, B.C. and
Michael Carney, Squamish,
B.C., and Scott Pink,
Sudbury, Ontano.

All competitors in the
junior championships must
be between 15 and 17 years
of age and Canada will have
six men and four women
starting in each event -
