Still paying for Hamilton closure NORTH VANCOUVER School Board might have been hoping for some substantial savings by closing Hamilton Junior Secondary, but some of those savings will have to wait another year as a new district ad- ministrative position had to be created to accommodate the former principal. Hamilton principal Bill Sulymka will become a District Principal, with consulting responsibilities to Carson Graham for one year, when he ts scheduled to retire. “He has been placed on district’ assignment,” said School Superintendent Rod Wickstrom. “His duties will be to help with (Hamilton) program integration into Carson Graham as well as district work. It’s a temporary position as he will be retiring in one year,” Wickstrom explained. Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent Pat Bell says that betweeen 12 and 15 Hamilton teachers wil! be transferred to Carson Graham. There were 22 teaching positions at Hamilton Junior Secondary.
