COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI)
Age, ignorance and poor
health proved no defense for
a couple known as Grandma
and Grandpa who were
sentenced to 1-to-10 years in
prison for selling drugs to
supplement their $381
monthly Social Security
income.

Luther Beaver, 74, and his
wife, Audrey, 63, of
Columbus, pleaded guilty
last Aug. 24 to one count
each of aggravated drug
trafficking.

The couple, whose
doctors say they are in ill
health, were sentended

- Thursday by Franklin
County Common Pleas
Judge Clifford Rader after he
received a probation report.

“Grandma” and “Grandpa,”
