Cars crasit in WY A West Vancouver woman and two boys were taken to hospi- tal Monday night after their minivan was broadsided at Duchess and 15th. West Vancouver Police say a Jeep, carrying a 16- year-old male driver and 16-year-old male passen- ger, drove through a stop sign on Duchess and hit the Plymouth driven by the woman. The impact of the crash severely damaged the Plymouth’s passenger side and rolled the van onto its roof, said police spokesman Sgt. Jim Almas. An eight-year-old boy in the Plymouth suffered a concussion, while a 10- year-old boy suffered a concussion and broken Icg, said Almas. The 44-year-old woman received numerous cuts and abrasions, but no serious injuries. The tvo West Vancouver youths in the Jeep did not suffer major injuries, said Almas. Police have not laid any charges, but the investiga- tion is ongoing. Another accident two kilometres south of Lions Bay tied up the Sea-to-Sky highway Tuesday - morn- ing. West Vancouver fire- fighters said a head-on col- lision between two cars involved nwo people. Both victims required the Jaws of Life when being removed from their cars. West Van firefighters say both drivers were taken to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries to their heads, necks and chests. They had broken bones and other possible injuries.
