Close Forest

JEHE Seymour Demonstration Forest was closed
indefinitely to the public on Tuesday because of
an extreme fire hazard rating.

GVRD spokesman Bill Morrell said closing the popular ,

- weekend recreational retreat was a precautionary move.

The ‘GVRD also cancelled escorted public tours of the -

Capilano, Seymour and Coquitlam watersheds because of the
fire hazard.
The tours had been slated to run until mid September.
oe GVRD watershed spokesman Ken Juvik said ne fires have
been recorded in the areas this year.

areas will be monitored and may reopen soon if it rains a lot.
