E'ASHION Girls’ modelling course offered LEARN ABOUT the world of fashion modelling at a course of- fered at Lynn Valley Recreation Centre this winter. The program, Jr. Miss Modell- ing, is designed for giris, 12-17 years old. Participants learn the basics of modelling including ramp tech- nique, walks and turns, wardrobe analysis, and fashion color and style selection. In addition, the girls will learn how to apply makeup for both daytime and special) occasions. Tips on health, diet and exercise tound out this comprehensive pro- gram. The highlight of the course takes place on the last day when the ‘‘modeis’” present a fashion show to friends and family. Course instructor Jackie Anaka is a modelling and makeup instruc- tar who trained with Ramona Beauchamp. Anaka has taught junior modell- ing and makeup artistry for both Beauchamp and the North Van- couver Recreation Commission for more than four years. The Jr. Miss Modelling program will run Wednesdays from Jan. 10 to March 14, 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Lynn Valley Recreation Centre.
