Nize of the charges against Western Pulp Iac., which owns the Wocdfibre pulp mill near Squamish, allege the compuny exceeded the iegal limits for pollutants allowed to be discharged from the mill into Howe Sound under its B.C. waste-management permit, while the remaining three allege violations of the Federal Fisheries Act, which prohibits the pollutien of fish bearing waters. The charges, sworn Thursday in Squamish provincial court, result from en investigation begun by the provincial environment ministry last November and compteted in April.
