ching his hcad over an oddly

selective robbery —
someone stole the buttons
off his clothes.

As many as 400 buttons
were neatly severed from the
clothes be had hanging in a
closet at his rural Ben Creek
home, the preacher told
authoritics.

The buttons were cut off
from about 40 of his sport
coats and sul jackets satd
Toler.

The thief also took the
buttons from the vests on his
three-piece suits, he said.
None of the garments were
otherwise damaged, he told
police.

Toler, 53, said there was
no sign of forced entry into
his home and the only other
item missing was a roll of 25
silver dollars.

“lt had to be someone
doped up, or a member of a

cult, or someone who 1s
demon possessed,” Toler
said.
