Over 20 tenants of a North
Vancouver City apartment
building were on hand
Monday night to hear City
council start the process of
having a lane next to the
‘building paved.

The people, some of the
152 owners in ‘Talisman
Tower’ at 145 St. Georges
Avenue attended | the
meeting to. appeal for the

ist and 2nd streets bounded
by Lonsdale and St. Georges
Avenues.

Wayne Greg, a
spokesman for the group,
said that the dust and dirt

maintenance costs in the

Greg said that all of the
other lanes in the area had
been paved and that the
apartment dwellers were

‘unable to get a petition to

have the lane paved.

Because the City is the
largest property owner on
the lane, the delegation felt
the City should initiate the
paving. .

Council passed a motion
that the lane paving be
considered on a local im-
provement initiative basis,

with the City paying their
share of the cost.
