on bodice front and back,

connect Al to B either tree-
hand using a broken line for
maximum flexibility or with
a French curve.

Tip: To make sure that
the shoulder piece rests
securely without. failing over
the shoulder, mark 2 2cm

(1%) from © ro C1 on both
front and back and redraw
by broken line tapering to
the armhole as shown.

Next, the bust dart needs
to be shifted to the armhole
as shawn. Draw a line
through the centre of both
darts to the point where
they meet on the bodice
(T). From approximately the
middle of the armhole, draw
a curved line by using a bro-
ken fine co the centre of the
fitted waist dart as shown.

Finishing the garment:

Before cutting the fabric
try the patrern on muslit to
make sure that it fits.

With this pattern the
neckline is cut deeply to the
shoulder. To eliminate any
gaping that may occur at the
front neckline. smooth the
excess fabric towards the
Princess seam.

Trace the pattern for the
facing on to paper. Sew the
darts and press, before
sewing the shoulder.

First sew the facing to
the front and back neckline
2 cm (17) below the shoul-
der line. Turn owt the facing
and “press sew” the shoul-
der.

Next, finish the facing at
the shoulder by hand. Sew

the right side seam and
press,

On the left side, leave a
hole for the zipper, sew the
side scam stitching only to
point D.

Lastly, fold line D inside.
Press and hem.
