Golden Sea.”

For all those who have neither
the time nor the interest in casting
their minds that far back along
the local restaurant trail, a small
refresher:

The Golden Sea took over
from predecessor Saigon, origi-
nally a gocd producer of
Vietnamese cuisine that spiraled
downhiil at the end of its career.
The Sea picked up where the
Saigon left off: at the bottom of
the hill and remained there, not
even bothering to change the

Gone is the Golden Sea's
tawdry interior, its borrowed
menus and its tired and greasy
version of Vietnamese food.

In its place, Honjin has
installed a bright and welcoming
sushi bar, a bank of dining booths
that employ a resourceful use of
particle board and unfinished
wood, and a large tatami room.
