Deaths
ISAACS — Frank £. Isaacs passed away
November 19, 1993, at the age of 71
years. He teaves to mourn his wife and
friend Joan; his children, son Pierce and
wife Pauta, Dublin, Ohio; his daughter
Frances ‘Fran’, Halifax, N.S.; his step-

children, Debbie Cavanagh, Calgary, and
Paul Horton, Burnaby, B.C; his two

beloved grandchildren, Tara and Reid”

Cavanagh, Calgary; and his adopted
grandchildren Jocelyn and Matthew
Kyska; Joan's sister and her husband,
Norma and Gordie Holt; and other rela-
tives and many friends. Frank was born
on March 31, 1922 in North Vancouver,
B.C. No service at Frank's request. The
family wishes to thank the doctors &
nurses in LOU. & Coronary Care at
Rockyview Hospital for their wonderful
care. In lieu of flowers, in Frank's mem-
ory, danations would be appreciated to
Intensive Care Nurses Education Fund,
co Rockyview Hospital, 7007-14 Street
S.W., Calgary, T2V 1?9.

PLETZ ~ Wanda (nee Grunke}, peacefully
at Evergreen Lodge on Friday, November
19, 1983. at the age of 91 years, She
was predeceased by her husband
Wilhelm in 1975 and two sons Otto and
Leo, who died in World War Il. Wanda is
survived by her sisters, Eva Henneys of
Survey and Manda Treichel; her brother
Willie Grunke of Germany; her chitdren
Waldemar of Winnipeg, Rudolf of Ger-
many, Bruno of Regina and Ingrid of
North Vancouver. She also leaves her
grandchildren Donna, David, Klaus,
Sigftied, ‘Werner, Karen, Cheryl, Brian
and James; as well as 12 great-grand-
children.

As a lifetime member of the Lutheran
Church, she always served her tord, who
was her strength. He was with her
through two wars, going through battle
zones to East Germany, from which she
escaped with hes family to Canada in
1948. She was an example of “Women’s
Liberation” before it really existed, as in
the 1930's she was a successtul
businesswoman while raising six
children.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday,
November 231d at 11:00 a.m. at Mount
Olivet Lutheran Church, 18th Street at
Mountain Highway, forth Vancouver. in-
terment_to be held in Green Acres Me-
morial Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba on
Thursday, November 25th al 2:00 p.m.
For those desiring, donations in Wanda’s
memory to the Mount Olivet Lutheran
Chusch would be greatly appreciated.
