Vancouver Schooi District 44 he’s leaving to take on a new position in the Delta school district.

NORTH Vancouver schools are closing for the
summer, and this year, when Carson Graham sec-
ondary principal David Dairon locks up his
school for the holidays, it will be for the Jast
time.

“It’s going to be a huge adjustment,” says Dairon. “After 23
years working with kids ... E will definitely miss the kids.”

He is on his way to become dircetor of personnel for the

Delta School District. He says it’s time for a change
“Change is good. I look ferward to new challenges.”

Saying goodbye hasn't been easy, and he lists a recent
farewell on the part of his students as a memory he will chensh.

“They said such nice things. It was very touching, very flat-

tering and moving.”

The tribute to him came ata June PE awards ceremony, and
afterwards he had te get up and speak.

“tt was hard,” be admits. Actually, ramor has it thar he was
more than a little choked up.
