Re: Second Nurrows Bridge repairs
(April 5 News).

The announcement that the Second
Narrows Bridge will undergo extensive
repairs this summer has been met with
dismay by the constituents of the North
Shore,

As the new Highways Minister Corky
Evans announced in a high-handed “let-
them-eat-cake™ manner, commuters must
switch to alternate transportation such as
the SeaBus or public transit.

Both of these options, as Corky Evans
should know, are already overloaded in

rush hour. Corky's limited experience of

the frustration of grid-lock is confined to
heli-jetting from Victoria and three-traf-
fic-light communities in the Kootenays.
