North Vancouver), dreamers and

buyers alike will be on hand for

‘the second annual Autoclassic
Collector Car Auction.: :

. This year’s crop of classic cars

: +, features 80 vehicles up for auc-

tion, including a 1972 Ferrari 246

Dino coupe.

During last year’s inaugral

event, 43 cars were bought at auc-

:-tion, resulting in $876,000 chang-
ing hands. The most memorable
entry last year was a 1967 Ferrari
275 GTB/4 that sold for $350,000,
even. though the: trans-axle was
broken and it only ran in reverse
gear.

Sponsored by Autoclassic Pes-
toration of North Vancouver, the
auction begins on Saturday, Oct. 2
at 10 a.m. with consigned cars
being received, registered and

, 2 documented in. a ‘tent set up

behind the theatre.

Saturday,: all the cars: will be
“parked in the Centennial Theatre

parking lot for the public to’
mingle around, and for serious
bidders to inspect their quarry.

An invitation-only ‘‘bidders and
sellers’? reception and art show
follows the car. preview from 7 to
9 p.m. in the theatre lobby.

The real action, though, takes

place on Sunday at 10 a.m. when

the auction begins. It runs until 6
p.m. Admission to the sale on
Sunday is $7 per person (kids get
in free).

To bid on any of the cars of-
fered for sale you must register as
a bidder at a cost of $20. Look
for the bidders’ registration table
in the lobby of the theatre.

To sell a car, consignment fees
are $214 per car, plus a fee of
10% of the selling price. For more

Among the cars already signed
up for auction are: a 1962 Ferrari
250 GTE coupe; a 1942 Plymouth
4-door; a 1969 AMX coupe; a
1967 Chevrolet 2-door, © six-
cylinder engine with three-speed
column: shifter (very rare car);
three Austin Healeys; a 1975 Fer-
tari 308 GT4 Dino;an MGTC:and

two MGTDs.
