Certainly Ritz-Carlton has built
the hotel so sympathetically that
from the beach all you can see are
glimpses ot low, beige buildings
behind palm trees. In fact the two
residential blocks are six storeys
tall, but cleverly landscaped be-

whole place is like a maharajah’s
palace, aithough happily Ritz-
Carlton did not scatter a few cle-
phants around the garden ia line
with the now tiresome fantasy
routine at other island hotels.

A DENTAL aide who can
manage elderly people in wheel
chairs is wanted to assist and
escort patients to and from their
rooms. The hours are from 8:30
am. to 4:30 p.m. the last Friday
of each month.

A RECREATION aide is need-
ed to assist neurologically disabled
seniors with swimwear changing,
water exercises and wheelchairs on

Event set for
Rehab centre

THE FIRST annual ‘‘Rolling tor
Rehab’? will take place on Sun.,
May 5 at the Plaza of Nations.

Organizers say this will be a fun
event for everyone. Participants of
all ages are invited to use various
types of people powered wheels
including tricycles, bicycles,
skateboards and wheelchairs.

Refreshments will be available
and outdoor entertainment will be
provided.

Proceeds will go to the British
Columbia Rehabilitation Society
(B.C.R.S.) which provides
rehabilitation services to British
Columbians with physical
disabilities.

The B.C.R.S. operates the G.F.
Strong and George Pearson Cen-
tres, serving persons with
disabilities for over 40 years.
Organizers say more than 400
volunteers are needed to make
“Rolling for Rehab’? a success.

and relate wel] to the public are
needed to dress in period costumes
and greet the public at a turn of
the century village. The hours are
flexible.
