The eight year olds and under stole the hmehght led by the relay team of Colin Page, Danny Stoddart, Andrew Wilson and Michael Kennedy This foursome won both the medley and 200 ms free-style relays Page, a second-year man, underlined his strength of performance by placing in the ribbons in each of his individual events as well. North Shore girls, in the same age group posted a strong third in the 200 metres Medicy relay. Enn Hickey, Lara McCandlish, Naom: Lundhulm and Laurie McKenzie made up the team Lara McCandlish went on to win the SO m Backstroke convincingly, while Miss Hickey picked up no less than three individual second place finishes David Stoddert led all the way to a victory in the 100 m Backstroke for 13-14 year olds. His teammate Ken Byrne pushed David all the way to a fine performance and only missed picking up second place by a touch. These two swimmers, joined by Stephen Harms and Greg Goss were just edged out of first place in the 200 m Medley relay. In the 9-10 age group Tom Nevin put in his usual strong performance to pick up third place in the Butterfly, just before Mark Winder finished powerfully to take a third ain the’ backstroke Geoff Green and Duncan Strong together with Nevin and Winder performed well in the Medley relay to finish well in the place mbbons. The girls in this age group swam an exciting 200 m freestyle relay with Enca Zippay anchornng the team to one of the closest finishes of the day.
