Linn stayed and claimed Lot 204, 150 acres east of Lynn Creek, moving his family from New Westminster to the new dairy farm. The home- stcad was located about one mile west of Moodyvillc, ‘where his children attended a one-room school. He set up a logging camp Inlet, supplying poles for the Stamp Mill wharf (which later became Hastings Mill on the South Shore). Linn died in 1876 and was buried beside his Royal Engineer comrades in the Masonic Cemetery in New Westminster. He left behind the legacy of his name (mis- spelled) to Lynn Valley, Lynn Creek, Lynn Peaks, and Lynnmour.
