Shop. j Cheryl Wood is graduat- ing from Argyle secondary school, plays in a pipe band and usually goes with a look thar is comfortable, casual and fuss-free. Because of that, Biro did- n’t want to go overboard with styling and makeup. “She doesi’t normally even wear makeup,” said Biro. “A puffy dress would have been unnatural.” Instead, Cheryl wore a busti- er under tails for a fun but sexy look. She didn’t want to have her hair cut so Biro worked around ends that were dry and brite. She used color fora dramatic change. “Ina word her hair was overprocessed,” Biro said. She started by recon- structing and conditioning to put Cheryl's hair in better condition before she started. After returning the bleached streaks in Cheryl's hair to their natural color, Biro did a double session of skin tones, She used gold tones and soft earthy colors for eyes and lips. She wanted a look that suited her age. And since Cheryl doesn’t usually wear makeup she didn’t want it to look overdone, Chris Olson is also gradu- ating from Argyle, he is an aspiring actor. For his look, said Biro: “We just wanted to lose the fro.” She took out most of the weight in his hair and reshaped it, She also cleaned up his beard, using both an electric razor and a straight razor. “We were trying fora look that was more up-to- date, funky,” Biro said. His old-fashioned tuy had wider lapels, a satin stripe on the leg and was worn with a drop-vest. Most of Biro’s clientele are men, but she also free- lances as a stylist for women.
