Quilts to be exhibited

“FABRICATIONS,” a display of
locally-made quilts, opens at
Seymour A:t Gallery tonight.

The exhibit features a number of
quilting techniques and styles from
traditional scrap quilts, hand piec-
ed and quilted, to machine pieced

and quilted, appliqued and
“mola's’ — a reverse applied
technique.

The display’s oldest quilt is over

100 years old,
sister-in-law of
Moses.”’

Quilters are of all ages, from 10
through to seniors. Irene Attwood
will 5e exhibiting quilts from
Panama.

A reception wilt be held tonight,
Feb. 14, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at
1204 Caledonia Avenue in North
