The robbery occurred just 13 days after an $8,000 holdup at the Royal Bank at Park Royal North. In that robbery a man in his fifties, wearing a grey wig and false grey beard and eyebrows burst into the manager's office with a package he claumed was a bomb and forced him to get the cash for him from the central teller. The i185 jobs — 145 hourly-paid and 40 perma- nent staff — will be phased out by the end of the year.
