Reno isn’t a fancy place. A
few shows require jackets
and ties for men but little is
said about what ladies
choose to wear. You'll see
some fancy outfits in casinos
but the ladies wearing them
are usually parading and not
gambling. i

Tight slacks or jeans are
uncomfortable after a few
hours. Pants that stretch are
ideal. Short-sleeved shirts or
blouses are comfortable and
bring a heavy-knit cardigan
or jacket for outside. Even
in the coldest weather, that
will be sufficient to casino
hop.

Money is dirty. After a
few. hours rattling chips or _
coins you feel grimy and
want nothing more than a
shower and change of
clothes. I brought three
complete changes and could
have used one or two more.
This isn’t the place to wear
your best beige wool slacks
as they'll get filthy from your
money-grubbing hands.

Low shoes with crepe
soles are best because if
you're sitting for hours at a
table your feet can swell. If
you're standing for hours in
front of a slot machine the
crepe soles reduce the
me . discomfort.
