And who could not help but be impressed by Romania’s young Nadia Comaneci and her five‘ perfect scores of ten for gymnastics. This week the Inquiring Reporter asks: What are your impressions of the Olympics? Young people share blame. heard the old.cliche: ‘You can’t put an old head on young shoulders,’’ uttered by the very ones who so willingly deny themselves to provide for us the tools for our education, and freedoms they did not themselves = enjoy young? . So, maybe we don’t have old heads, but how many more tragedies is it going to take before we begin to use the ones we have—instead of hiding behind that old cliche—that motheaten cop- out? Because of the advan- tages we have been given, today’s crop of younger citizens are the smartest ever. So, what are we doing with these superior brains? There are some truly amazing athletes and they deserve the admiration of the world. Certainly some discussions should take place concerning this matter. Tenants refuse to park in the stalls provided for them because they have to pay $8 - $10 for them. This causes them to park on the roadway and causes trouble for ambulances and _ fire trucks that must get into the area. This is an issue that could cause death and/or accident. _ It used to be, that there ‘were *‘No Parking”’ signs in the area so that tenants were forced to park in the stalls. Now, after some sort of a bylaw change they are back on the street again. Perhaps, the developers and owners should not charge for parking stalls. Perhaps, council will have to force them to change their ways so that they will be protecting the people. -It is a life and death | Situation. I believe that it is up to - council to find funding sources for things like fire ladders, but if they can’t get the congestion. cleared up then they may as well forget the fire ladder.
