At least ~~ Councillor
Mussatto is honest, he admits
to an urge to pave everything
in sight — parks particularly.

Lions Gate Studio w:
turned down in its la
attempt to convert Sunrise
Park into a parking lot — pri-
marily because it was (and still
is) a “designated” park.

This is of course meaning-
less to the Studio, but one
would expect elected City
officials to respect the wishes
of their constituents as set out
in current fand use plans.

local credit union has followed the same impersonalized, cen-
iralization policy of said banks.

1 had eceasion last year to acquire a small loan from the local
CU branch as | have done in the past, To my dismay I discov-
ered the transaction could nor be done with the branch, but had
to be cleared with some big brother or sister at CU central. The

t straw was, as a senior, with resultant memory lapses | want-
ed to identify a withdrawal from my account that I had failed to
enter in my book. I asked the teller if she could retrieve said
cheque for identification as I have done in the past. I was
informed that ail cheques now go to a central office and that I
would be charged for this service.

North Shore Credit Union established
sonalized service and customers being able to call tellers by their
first names and have a personal contact that instilled pride and
confidence. I have noticed these old friends at other institu-
tions, maybe I should switch.
