Advisory Finance Comission
has come out critical of a
strategic plan drafted for the
municipality in 1993,

The commission, made up of
appointed residents, studied a
strategic plan created by Duygal
Smith & Associates, concluded
that the plan “fell considerably
short of the proposal expecta-
tions.”

The plan touches on some of
the clements of a varied strategic
plan, “but did not follow through

“futuristic” and “limited.” the
commission fell that the strategic
plan was more suitable for manag-
ing a well-established enterprise,

The plan could be used as a rel
erence, rather (han a strategic plan
“ready for implementation” the
comunission stated,

The document, dated November

1993, identifies a vision for West
Vancouver. namely. making the
municipality a “special place to
live and work while striving to be
the most livable community in
North America.

It identifies a mission, commu-

nity values, the forces pushing for

change in West Vancouver and key
actions necded for future success.

at the District of North Vancouver (990-2280).

_ New Owners should be aware of their responsibility for
payment of the 1995 water charges and should ensure
_ that they are paid by themseives or the previous owner.

_. Discount: A 10% discount is allowed. on the annual
water rates charge if payment is received in the
“Municipal Hall on or before February 28, 1995.

Penalties: a 5% penalty will be added to outstanding
water charges after July 5, 1995. A further 5% penalty
will be added to water charges remaining unpaid after
September 5, 1995.

Payment must be received in the Municipal Hall on or

before the above dates to qualify for discount or to.
