Artist's works at City Hall

EMFRGING NORTH Shore artist
Doug Rae seeks to recall “the
beauty of God’s creation, includ-
ing memories of times past and
expressions of the present” in his
oil paintings.

The public is invited to the
opening reception of his show,
Serenity, Thursday, june 16,
7:30-9:30 p.m. at the North

Vancouver City Hall.

Vancouver native Doug Rae
has recently renewed a teenage
interest in painting and has pro-
gressed rapidly through art class-
es and a dedicated studio prac-
tice to the point of professional-
ism.

Doug’s paintings are spiritual,
delightful and offer the viewer an

opportunity not only to escape
into the rich surface but also to
enter the many scenes certainly
representative of God's creation.

The show continues until July
21 at 141 W. 14th, North
Vancouver. Viewing hours are
from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.
