By Anna Marie D'Angelo " News Reporter North Vancouver residents Elizabeth Bleasdale, 19, and Teri Thorson, 21, went to Montanas Sports Bar on two separate occa- sions last week and are claiming that they were discouraged from patronizing the establishment because of their age. The sports bar, located in the 100-tlack West Ist St. is the latest reincarnation at what used to be the home of Holidays, Goofy's and the Old Roller Rink. The new bar opened May 5. Bleasdale and a 19-year-old friend had gone to the sports bar on May 9 for a beer. After showing their identification to a doorman, the women were told “lowdown here is we want people 25 and older.” Said Bleasdale, “I’m furious. There are a lot of 19 year olds that are mature, have money to buy a beer, and could go in there and be calm. It’s so insulting,” Bleasdale said the doorman didn’t tell her out- right she couldn’t go in or say she The Third Generation by Panasonic.
