Over 500 new automobiles from the leading manufac- turers, prototypes, specialty vehicles, antiques and classics will be on display along with aftermarket products, services, automotive accessories, contests, and feature attrac- tions. In addition to redesigned models and developmental pro- totypes, automobile manufacturers will give patrons the opportunity to see the newest additions to their lineups. New model introductions for 1992 will include Acura Vigor, the entry level Audi 80, BMW 325i sport model and 525i touring wagon, the Saturn line of cars from General Motors, Hyundai Elantra, the sporty Infiniti J30, Jeep/Eagle Grand Cherokee, MX-3 Precidia and 929 Serenia from Mazda, the innovative Subaru SVX and Toyota Pasco, 2+2 coupe. AUTOMOTIVES Auto Show ’92 adds new attractions The Auto Show '92 entrance lobby will salute European auto manufacturers. New models from Volkswagen, Volvo, Mercedes- Benz, BMW, and Audi will be on display as patrons stroll through a tree-lined boulevard into the show, With a focus on 4X4 vehicles, “Fun in the Sun” is a new feature area showcasing examples from General Motors, Chrysler, Ford, Suzuki, Lada, Toyota and Mazda. Scenic decer and a_ feature customized all-terrain 4X4 from North Shore Off-Road Centre Inc. add further interest for the outdoor enthusiast. “Luxury Lane’’, an established highlight of the show will have new design and polished decor to mirror the style and sophistication of its automobiles. The showcase will include 1992 models from Lexus, Infiniti, Cadillac, Rolls Royce, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Lamborghini. To seflect over 100 years of in- dustry development, the Pacific International Auto Show is closely linked to tradition. Antiques and classics from the Vintage Car Club of Canada will span more than 70 years of automotive design. A 1910 Buick Mod-17 five-passenger touring sedan, a 1929 Rolls Royce P2 Town Car, a 1934 Morgan three wheeler, a 1947 Ford Convertible V8 and a 1958 Cadillac Convertible will show patrons some of the land- marks in automotive development. The Auto Show ‘92 contest of- fers the opportunity to **Fly and Drive Europe.’ Five trips to dif- ferent European destinations will be drawn. There is no charge to enter. Winners will fly to the European base of one of the par- ticipating manufacturers and receive two week car rentals. The latest in automotive pro- ducts, services, and accessories will come together in a showcase of aftermarket options. Tires, rims, wheels, detaiiing ideas, sound systems, fuels, lubricants, cleaners and polishes will be in- cluded in the displays and in- novative new products for auto care and passenger safety will be introduced. Sales staff will be in attendance at each exhibit to an- swer any questions. Auto Show '92 will run for 10 days from Friday, Jan. 17 to Sunday, Jan. 26 at B.C. Place Stadium.
