CHECK TIRE pressure, in-
cluding the spare. at least anee a

* Check tire pressure when tires
are cold to the touch.

* Remove stones, eravel or other

* Regularly inspect tire tread and
sidewalls for cuts, splits, bruises

If you plan to use ramps, set
the parking brake before you
begin, then sptead old newspapers
on the ground under che off pan
and position your container under
the off drain plug. toasen the
drain plug with the drain plug
“Wrench, and unscrew it with your
fingers.

Phice the containers under the
filter, Remove the oil filter by
turning it counter-clockwise with
the filter wrench. Ho the filter ts
hard to remove (either difficult to
reach, or overlightened), try a dif-
ferent type of filter wrench.

Now you are ready to install the
new filter, First, smear a thin film
of clean olf on the rubber casket
— this ensures easy tightening.
Spin the new filter omo the
mounting stud until the gasket
contacts the  niounting surface.
Tiehten the filter by hand.
