Noel Wright's article
‘“‘Mind-Power vs. The
Killer" (North Shore News,
February 27, poses some
interesting and profound

questions for us all, not the

least of which is ‘‘Who are
we?”? Are we just muscle,
blood, skin and bone, or are
we something else? Could
we, in fact, be a complete
and .separate entity to that
which we see in the mirror?

Despite ‘our depressing
economic environment, and
the many ills in society,- we
are still living through a time
of challenge and new oppor-
tunity as we evolve out. of
the industrial cra into the
technological; and on to the
conquest of outer space.
But, as some wise sage once
said, our ultimate conquest
will be that of Inner Space,

meaning the final -

understanding of who we
really are, our true potential,
purpose, and reason for be-
ing.

If this is true, then the
growing interest in holistic
medicine is both understan-
dable and irreversible. For
the first time since the dawn
of medical science, there ap-
pears to be a definite move-
ment back towards treating
the whole person, including
the real cause of so many of
our psychological] and physi-
cal ailments, instead of, as is
so often the case, trying to
deal with just the effects.
