The accident in the busy traffic area occurred just five days into the school year. North Vancouver RCMP Const. Donovan Tait said the boy darted between parked cars into traffic shortly before 9 a.m. He was not in the crosswalk. “My opinion, yes, a crossing guard there would have made a difference,” said Tait who investigated the accident.
