Five employees of the North Vancouver Salvation Army store and sorting centre were laid off last Tuesday evening. Although the laid off staff members have all received compensation packages, they have banded together and secured the services of 3 lawyer. But said Findlay, she's not interested in vetting her job back. “The way it was handied, I don’t think Pd want to work there again.” said Findlay. “We don’t want our jobs back. We just want what's owed ts.” The timing of the layoffs also coincides with the death of Major David McNeilly, the jomge time manager of the Lonsdale Avenue stare. Salvation Ara spokesman Majer Martyn Goodger said he wasn't allowed to) discuss the specifics of the case, but said changes are often made when there is a change in management.
