A_ thief wearing an
Afro wig ran into Red
Hot Video on Tuesday
and stole two sex toys
for men.

The items taken were
identified as a “Super
Suction Penis Pump” and
a “Penis Enlarger,”
according to police.

The — suspect — was
described as being a
Caucasian male who wore
a black “Champion” jack-
et and light jeans.

Police say the suspect
ran out of the store with
the $120 worth of mer-
chandise shortly after
midnight.

North Vancouver
RCMP believe the thief’
may have been acting ona
dare or was committing a
prank.

Red Hot Video is
located in the 900-block
of Marine Drive.

SEVERAL recenily ter-
minated employees of
one of the world’s most
charitadle organizations
are accusing their for-
mer employer of a most
uncharitable act.

Five employees of the
North Vancouver Salvation
Army store and sorting centre
were laid off last Tuesday
evening. Even more galling to
the workers was the timing of
the — organization’s — move
which came within little more
than = a) month — from
Christmas.

“They didn’t give us any
reason tor the terminations.
They said they didn’t have
to,” said Connie Findlay, who
was let go after working at the
store for four years.

Although the laid off staff
members have all received
compensation packages, they
have banded together and
secured the services of 3
lawyer.

But said Findlay, she's not
interested in vetting her job
back.

“The way it was handied, I
don’t think Pd want to work
there again.” said Findlay.
“We don’t want our jobs
back. We just want what's
owed ts.”

The timing of the layoffs
also coincides with the death
of Major David McNeilly, the
