do to repair it?

= In order to repair a vinvl floor it is very
g important te have a spare piece of Hloor-
ing from the same colour dye tot. [f vou

@ do not have a patch piece vou may have

to remove a suitable sized piece from
under the steve or refrigerator or ina closet.

Remove the patch piece (if necessary) by cutting and heating with a hair
dryer and scraping off. Lay the patch piece over the area to be repaired
ensuring thar you match the pattern. Place masking tape across the patch
to secure and with a sharp razor blade knife cur along. the pattern on the
patch through the damaged piece to the sub-floor, Remove the masking
tape and the patch piece. Now vou can remove the damaged piece by heat-
ing with a hair dryer and scraping with ¢ putty knife.

Serape the subfloor underisy clean and apply a thia coat of Weldbond

adhesive allowing to dry for 30 minutes.

Apply a coat of Weldbond to the

back of the patch as well as the subfloor and lay the patch in place press-
ing down &rmly. Wipe off any excess glue with a damp paper towel.

Place a piece of wax paper over the patched area and weigh down with a
pile of books overnight.

Ta the morning apply a scam weld along the joint to make the repair invis-

ible.
