So, why i is that so hard to
accept? I also find it very
strange that I can wander
around downtown Vancouver
at all hours of the night on
streets littered with winos and
junkies and nothing happens
to me. Yet, I can't walk in my
own neighborhood without
receiving dirty looks and
threats.

it's 1996 and I find it dis-
appointing that some people
still think like this. We've
basically overcome racial dis-
crimination, ended slavery,
and sexist oppression, yet we
can’t accept the fact that
somebody has spikes in their
hair and chains on their jack-
ets.

I guess all of those homo-
phobic, insecure, narrow-
minded people — the ones
who gang up 30 against one,

until we're either dead or just
like them. To me that’s a very
ignorant attitude.

And, if we're “skids,” why
do we get beat up for our
money? We obviously don’t
have any.
