The North Vancouver RCMP is holding its annual fun run once again, offering runners and walkers a chance to get a little ex- ercise while they raise funds for the Crime Stoppers program. The 10-kilometre run follows a course through the Lonsdale/ Grand Boulevard area with a downhill start and finish at rec- APRIL 28: The second annual Manulife Ride fer Heart is a sce- nic 5G-kilometre route around Vancouver to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon. The event starts and finishes at UBC and is followed by a free picnic with live entertainment and a massage clinic. Registraticn is $15 cr $10 each for groups of three or more. The more gentle three-kilometre walk is a shorter version of the run. Walkers leave the recreati.on centre at 8:20 a.m. followed *+y the runners at 8:30 a.m. after a warm-up session. More Sportslite page 17 Gordon to enter world cup DIVER PAIGE Gordon of West Vancouver will compete on the nine-member Canadian national team at the World Cup of Diving to be held May 3-5 in Winnipeg. Gordon, 17, is the 1991 10- metre national champion — the youngest in Canadian history. Coach Boxi Liang will accom- pany Gordon to the meet where divers from 18 countries will compete including all medalists from the 1988 Olympics (except those who retired). After the World Cup of Diving, Gordon and most of the divers will travel to Florida for the May 10-12 USA International at Boca Raton. Pejan wins double WEST VANCOUVER’'S Ramin Pejan earned a double victory last week in Tennis. He won both the national under-14 singles and doubles titles at the Philips Junior Nationals held in St.-Eustace, Que. The tourney’s top seed, Pejan outclassed Brad McFarlane of Kingston, Ont., 6-2, 6-1 in the final.
